Outpatient Telehealth Staff Psychiatrist (Adults 18+)Employment Type: Full-Time (W2, 40 hours/week)Location: Remote (Candidates must be based in and/or licensed to practice in New York)Compensation: $260,000 – $290,000 / year (Base Salary)Position OverviewA rapidly expanding, physician-led behavioral health practice is seeking a compassionate, collaborative Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team. This is a 100% remote outpatient role delivering high-touch, evidence-based psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and ongoing medication management to adult patients (ages 18+).You will practice with complete clinical autonomy supported by dedicated administrative, billing, intake, and insurance credentialing teams—eliminating administrative friction so you can focus entirely on patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for adult patients (18+).Provide high-quality ongoing medication management and supportive consultations via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth video platforms.Maintain a standard, manageable outpatient caseload with protected administrative time built into the schedule.Collaborate seamlessly with in-house licensed psychotherapists (LCSWs, LMHCs, PsyDs) and clinical coordinators for integrated, coordinated patient treatment.Complete clinical notes, treatment plans, and electronic prescriptions promptly within the cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR).Uphold professional standards, clinical best practices, and state/federal regulatory compliance.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.Residency: Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited General/Adult Psychiatry Residency program.Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Adult Psychiatry (ABPN).Licensure: Active, unrestricted Medical License in the State of New York.Certifications: Active, unrestricted federal DEA license and state controlled substance registration.Technical Proficiency: Comfortable utilizing modern EHR systems, telehealth platforms, e-prescribing tools, and Google Workspace.Schedule & Work EnvironmentSchedule: Predictable weekday scheduling (Monday–Friday) with options for flexible daytime and early evening availability.Call Coverage: No inpatient call, weekend rounding, or overnight shifts.Setting: 100% work-from-home telehealth practice.Benefits PackageComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer matchingFront-loaded Paid Time Off (PTO) + paid federal holidays + year-end practice closureComprehensive Malpractice coverage (including tail insurance)Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and paid education daysHealth Savings Account (HSA) / Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Full dedicated operational, credentialing, and billing support Originally posted on Himalayas
