Manager, Paid Media

About Airwallex

Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system for a real-time, intelligent economy. More than 675,000 businesses, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok, use us, directly or through our platform partners, to run their financial operations or build and monetize financial products of their own.

We started in Melbourne in 2015 to build the infrastructure global commerce runs on. We're the regulated backbone behind global payments: not by accident, but by design. A decade plus, 85+ licenses, and a financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

We're co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with more than 2,300 people across 27 offices. We hire builders with founder-level energy, people who move fast with good judgment, dig in with real curiosity, and make calls from first principles rather than waiting to be told what to do. About the Role

We’re seeking a data-driven and creative Paid Media Manager to plan, execute, and optimize digital campaigns across global paid channels. You’ll own the performance and day-to-day management of paid search, paid social, and display campaigns that drive acquisition, pipeline growth, and ROI.

In this role, you’ll blend analytical rigor with hands-on execution — partnering closely with Growth Strategy, Product Marketing, Creative, and Analytics to translate business objectives into efficient, scalable campaigns. You’ll be instrumental in building the frameworks, insights, and best practices that power our global demand generation engine.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute multi-channel paid media strategies (SEM, paid social, programmatic/display, YouTube, retargeting) aligned with funnel goals and business priorities.

• Own budget planning, forecasting, and pacing to meet CAC, ROAS, and pipeline targets.

• Collaborate with regional and product marketing teams to localize campaigns and ensure relevance across markets.

• Recommend new growth opportunities, audiences, and channels based on data-driven insights.

Execution & Optimization

• Build and manage paid campaigns end-to-end: keyword/audience selection, ad copy, creative testing, and bid strategy.

• Continuously optimize for performance, leveraging testing frameworks (A/B, multivariate, holdout experiments) to improve CTR, CVR, and CPL.

• Monitor and report on campaign performance daily and weekly, identifying trends and actionable insights.

• Ensure proper tracking and attribution (UTMs, pixels, offline conversions, Salesforce/Marketo sync).

• Manage and QA all campaign builds following standardized naming conventions and governance frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Creative and Content to develop ad variations tailored to audience segments and funnel stages.

• Collaborate with Analytics and RevOps to ensure visibility into lead quality, pipeline contribution, and ROI.

• Work with Product Marketing to align messaging, audience strategy, and campaign sequencing.

Testing & Insights

• Maintain a structured testing roadmap across channels for creative, audience, and bidding experiments.

• Surface insights on platform algorithm changes, auction dynamics, and audience performance trends.

• Share performance learnings across regions to scale best practices globally.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience managing paid media programs in B2B SaaS, fintech, or e-commerce environments.

• Deep hands-on expertise in the breadth of DemandGen and Acquisition and across ad unit types in Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Meta Ads (other platforms like YouTube, Reddit, Quora, and programmatic are a plus).

• Proven success optimizing campaigns for pipeline, ROI, and LTV:CAC efficiency.

• Strong analytical skills; comfortable using Excel/Sheets, Looker, Tableau, or GA4 to analyze campaign data.

• Experience with marketing automation and CRM systems (Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce).

• Exceptional project management and attention to detail — able to run multiple campaigns simultaneously.

• Excellent communicator who can translate performance data into actionable business insights.
